Apart from committee work and publications, members of the Age-Friendly Portland and Multnomah County initiatives are involved in several collaborative projects:
Aging Well Conference
This annual community event provides a learning and networking platform for residents, advocates, and members of the aging services. The goals of the conference are to present attendees with opportunities to envision and plan for a community that perceives aging as an asset rather than mainly as a process of decline, combats ageism, fosters intergenerational interdependence, and offers age-related services to a wide range of customers. Please visit this overview of previous Aging Well conferences to view previous events and download event material, such as handouts and presentations.
